6th February - El Nido - day tripping

Friday 6th February 2015

Am

A fabulous El Nido day.  Much reading.  A bit of tinkering with solar panels.  But mostly – leisure and pleasure!

Many dogs on the beaches of El Nido.

We had a very good dinner at the Art Café, upstairs in one of the main streets of the township, where we met Nina and Rick, from Holland.  They are coming out for a daytrip with us today.

Up and down the streets – many sandbags!  Is this trouble, or what??

If one should want to buy jaunty curtains – this is the place!  Main Street, El Nido, Palawan!

Pm

We had breakfast on land with Rik and Nina, then we all clambered aboard 2XS and went to the glorious nearby islands.  But…no room at the inn.  We couldn’t anchor (too deep) or moor (too many boats jostling for moorings.

So…back to El Nido, approaching from a different angle.

Our anchorage is now

El Nido
11 degrees 09.968N
119 degrees 23.645E
Depth 9.5m

Three of us went swimming…

  1. What do you get when you cross a dog, a Russian and a sandbag? El Nido. Not necessarily what one might expect x
