27th December - Boxing Day celebrations - ResQLink - Personal Locator Beacon

Saturday 27th December

Yesterday was another beautiful family Christmas celebration.

Many generations happy together.

Cousins who see each other rarely were reunited

Max (Sydney, NSW) Hamish (Cremorne, Tas)
Cousins who see each other regularly were equally thrilled to see one another

A small helpful girl set the table…

And a lot of water pistol action!  Uncle Michael was the main target; he was thoroughly drenched by mid afternoon.

There was also a very fiercely contested cricket game in the back yard.

A small potaroo watched, not very anxiously, from a bush about two metres away…

Michael had brought an army teddy for each child under twelve – these are given out to soldiers about to leave on deployment, for their very own children.  Michael is very persuasive and said that while he doesn’t really have six children…he MIGHT have…so could he have six teddies please.  Thank you very much!

Pete’s and my offspring, led by Nicole Darcey and Nicole Wakefield, combined and conspired to buy us both a drybag containing a rescue kit – we can now sail on the high seas wearing small, sturdy personal rescue beacons around our necks.  SO very thoughtful and generous!

On the box it says:  ResQLink+ World’s Smallest Buoyant 406 MHz GPS Personal Locator Beacon.  Amazing!!
