Friday night the Fannie Bay sunset was even more
spectacular than usual – oh those colours!!
Sam’s Blog:
Indonesian are crazy about handphone. Once I saw a panhandler was making a call
while he was begging on a intersection. He was probably was making phone call
to his stock broker. Seeing somebody making a phone call while riding a
motorcycle is not something unusual here. So, welcome to Indonesia.
I took a photo of 2XS, patiently waiting for us in the
dark, with just the riding light shining brightly:

Deciding which beer to order in Indonesia is a painless process. That's because nine out ten you only have one
choice which is Bintang beer. Bintang mean star. Unless you have terrible eyesight or dead
drunk, you can't miss the picture of red star on the label. No, it is not Russian beer, it is a Pilsener
beer. There is another brand called
Achor or Anker (I guess it's Dutch). I am not a beer connoisseur, so I can't
tell you which is worse.
Today
has been a beatuifgul 2XS day. We left
Fannie Bay at 12 and took a boatload of True Tasmanians for a gentle cruise around the harbour.

Darwin looked pretty from the water
And
we met up with another True Tasmanian as we were cruising back along the shore –
we were hailed by a lovely young bloke in a tinny – It IS Pete, isn’t it?? he said, enthusiastically. Pete’s cousin Julie Green’s son Lochie!!
Tasmanians are in every corner of the world and we recognise each other everywhere and anywhere!!
The
sunset tonight is almost even more beautiful than yesterday…
Thank you for the lovely photos and the interesting stories about Darwin. We hear quite a bit that is negative about the Top End but you are shedding a different light.
ReplyDeleteHow amazing about all the Tasmanians! It is true...they all seem to have some magnetic pull to one another.
