Coron from 2XS |
Back on 2XS…
Very nice to be
here too. It is all gleamingly clean and
shiny – Toby and Rosie have been scrubbing for three months solid, I think!
On the way out in
the dinghy I noticed some boys playing on some sort of watercraft….
On closer
inspection we could see it was an old eski, fitted with makeshift outriggers!
Such fun!
We found Jim, the
owner of Seadive, at Gate 133. He had been
in Manila for nine days and was mightily unimpressed with the papal
carry-on. For five days everything in
the city went into lockdown. No
jeepneys, no mobile phone or internet service, no alcohol for sale. We were very lucky to arrive at the very end
of the frenzy!
Airport chats |
This morning Toby
and Pete are in their own non-papal frenzy.
Drills are out; the generator is running, brows are furrowed. Action stations! The can crusher is already in place, the new
personal GPS finder systems are strategically positioned near the door and many
other improvements will follow.
