24th December - Joe Cocker (too sad...) Christmas Eve - gingerbread house demolition

Wednesday 24th December

Two bits of sad news…

Joe Cocker - RIP
Joe Cocker…what a loss!

And our lovely friend Graham, who was recently staying at Pete’s house, from Daylesford…

Graham and Diana in rehab
is in rehab following a stoke which has affected one side very badly.  He is apparently speaking better than the doctors would have expected but it will be a while before he can leave rehab on his own two feet.

This morning my four granddaughters spent a very happy few hours decorating their small horse, Hilda.

Hilda was very patient and stoic.

She waited until every bit of mane and tail had been twist & twirled and adored with flowers before trotting briskly off into the forest, not to be seen again until evening.

Today we had a big gingerbread party.  Katy had constructed a beautiful little house a few weeks ago; today was the Day of Destruction and Demolition!

Not sure how many children we had here…LOTS!  (Approx. 20...)  It all went very well

Until the actual demolition, when Rose was devastated – she hadn’t expected the house before her very eyes…

Nothing but crumbs…
