16th December - rain and hail in Hobart

Tuesday 16th December

Yesterday my long ExerciseWalk was through Lauderdale and along the beach all the way to…well, to the other end, where it mysteriously turns into Roche’s Beach at some undefined point.

And today…not so sure.  It started off gloriously bright, blue sunny, but this afternoon there has been rain, thunder, sunshine and a very violent and sudden hailstorm.

Katy made a brilliant find in her glovebox – a fabulous disposable rain poncho!  Happiness to find such a good protection from the rain and such glamour!

It does not bode well for the BBQ some friends have organised at the Waterworks at 6.30…

Rose and Zoe were enthralled by the hail which we watched through Pete’s upstairs arched window.  But I think they were even more fascinated and enthralled by The Bunyip of Berkeley’s Creek.
