Friday 8th November
This is the
view* from Pete’s house yesterday. In
the sleety drizzly cold rain… It didn’t
get past 12…the day before, as I said, it was 27. So much variety!
And no I am not
complaining; as I say to anyone who cares to listen, Hobart is at 42 degrees south,
in the Roaring Forties, and of course it has a changeable, volatile
climate. But…we have heaters, doonas,
ugg boots…
In fact, here
is a photo of me dancing – not with Pete on a warm brown beach in Indonesia,
but with darling Rose (1), in my aforementioned ugg boots…
Time to go!!
Malaysia
beckons…
I thought I had
a full itinerary but apparently no. Just
some info re the first few days, if anyone is interested:

and/or shuttle services to malls. If you have to do a visa run to
Singapore, this is also a good time.
13 November.
We are arranging a
dinghy convoy to a Malay village. Details are being organised.
14 November.
Free and easy.
Can start to sail up the coast if you wish.
Pete has been BUSY!!! Here he
is with a restorative cup of coffee, part of his mountain of paperwork, and a
totally preoccupied expression…
I can’t imagine he will ever look like this again….
And yes I have
been sobbing quietly on and off for a few days.
So many farewells… And I couldn’t remember the Fijian farewell song,
which makes everyone weep bitter tears after only a few days in this or than
island resort – Isa Lei!! It is all flooding back…
*Felix (3) has
a much better word – “Oh look at the viewty!”
he exclaims, thereby encompassing both view
and beauty and making a much better
word altogether!
Sounds Fantastic. I know you will miss everyone and we will miss you too, but remember"Hullo Mudder, Hello Fadder, here I am at camp Grenada"; it hopefully will make you smile.
