Thursday 14th November
It is all a bit random, whose birthdays I decide to acknowledge here. In fact I would like to write a bit about everyone but…for various reasons, I don’t.
Today however is Chris Wood’s birthday and he definitely needs a big mention for being such a great friend to Pete, and to me, and to 2XS. He was in on the project right from the beginning and without his quiet and helpful advice I don’t think we would have got very far at all…
I couldn’t find any good photos in my library, so I have stolen this one from Angela’s facebook page:
Lots of boats
have left already, heading for Port Dickson, the next stop on he Rally. We, on the other hand, have gone to
Singapore, for two nights. As you do…
Fabulous
Singapore!
We got here around
lunchtime and immediately settled in a small hotel. Well it isn’t really small…just the rooms…
Ours is not much bigger than our cabin on2XS but it is right in the centre of Chinatown
and it is clean and comfortable – what more do we need?
We spent the afternoon
going around on a bus, hopping on and off to see this and that. One of the things on our list was to see the Singapore
Art Museum, on Jan and Marian’s recommendation – the Biennale Exhibition is on
at the moment. We were particularly
enchanted with a Japanese hologram display and spent quite a long time wandering
between the images, saying WOW, GOLLY, GOSH!!
HOLOS
Today we have a
very long list of things we want to see so…no more writing!!
