27th November - Pangkor Island - Malaysia

Wednesday 27th November

We had lunch with about 90 rally-ers in a simple open sided shed/restaurant.  All very delicious and more than ample.  With these weirdo chips for entrée…Maybe you can't read the packet but they are JELLYFISH chips...spicy!

Pete looks happy but bewildered; Myra and Porric, from SV Sao Ella (Ireland) not v impressed...
Yes Pangkor Island is just beautiful.  It is thickly forested, with lush green jungle.  Monkeys scramble through the trees, and use the power lines as a mini-highway.

Sea eagles soar overhead.

We spent a bit of time on a beautiful beach in Coral Bay.

My happy place
No good for swimming, however; Cheryl and I paddled but there was a fearsome rip.

There is a Dutch fort, from around the mid 1600s.

And a gaudy Chinese temple nestled into the thickly forested hillside.
