6th June 2016 - hostage update (no good news YET)

Time is rushing by…it is already well into June.  Not such a cheery blog today...

I haven’t written about the hostages taken from Ocean View marina for a while but we do think about them every single day.

They have a new deadline; June 13th.  If no ransom has been paid, another of them will be beheaded on that day.  Hard to imagine the stress and misery they are suffering, and their families and friends.


The new president of the Philippine, the redoubtable former mayor of Davao, Rody Duterte is filled with rage, as he should be.  Interesting to see if he can mount a successful rescue attempt in time…
