Keviang is not the fashion capital of PNG. I was tempted to go and look in this little
shop, and found it sold…a very nice section of children’s pushbikes.
But the “supermarkets” do sell a wide variety of
beautiful clothes, worn by the local women.
Vibrant colourful tunics, and sarongs to be worn as skirts.
They all look so lovely!
I actually stopped Rhondie Badcock outside her hotel
(Kevaing Hotel, in the main street,) to ask if I could take photos of her in
her Sunday best.
She was very happy to pose with both of us.
When I am back in PNG next week, I will try to ask a
few more gloriously attired ladies if I can take their photos.
