An Oatlands shed treasure |
We are still ricocheting around the state.
Earlier in the week I was adorned with Eva’s crown and
was, temporarily, Lord of the Green. All
very lovely and minty-smelling…
Yesterday we went up the Midlands Highway to stay the night
in Launceston. I was able to have lunch
with Mum and Marcel. They aren’t very
well and they said we would have “a simple lunch.” Goodo; I was happy with this concept.
See above the simple lunch! Beautiful and delicious!
We all want hair like my mother's when we are 90!! |
At 2pm I took Mum to her salon, Convict Cutters
opposite the beautiful Workers Comp rooms, just off
the main Brisbane Street Mall, where Pauline and I spent many many hours in hearings
and in conferences, trying to make everyone happy. (happy-ish…)
This is a beautiful salon and Mum enjoys her times there
very much, with her beautiful friendly hairdressers.
This morning we drove up through the lakes, through
thick fog and then through brilliant sunshine.
Now we are at Highland Waters with John and Billy, awaiting the arrival
of Catherine.
It is just gorgeous up here, so peaceful and
remote. (Well I wont mention the wasps and
the march flies…other than that it is
glorious!)
Pete and John are outside carefully tasting wine which
Pete has brought, to be selected for later in the month (party time!!) They are very happy. I have been walking down to the lake to throw
sticks for Billy; we are happy too!
A new baby has arrived, making his first appearance on
Facebook – Archie Quan Winspear, born to Ben and Rose, in Ho Chi Minh
City. He looks just beautiful, and is
already, I know, much loved.
