Hobart, I read yesterday somewhere in the media, either paper or cyber,
not sure, is once again being hailed as a Number #1 Supremo Tourist
Destination. It is, apparently, a
totally desirable place for trendy arty people from all over the world. Mainly because of MONA (Museum of New and Old
Art).

I am one of the many people who is enraptured by MONA. It is a fabulous building full of art which
is mostly inaccessible and incomprehensible to me, but I love the challenge and
the vibrant atmosphere. But…some people just detest it!
Recently a friend from Adelaide came to Tasmania for two precious days
only. She said that she would just love
to spend one of these precious days…at MONA.
And when she got there, just loathed it. Loathed every single thing about it – the building,
the contents, the concept. I think she,
and her poor hostess, were really quite exhilarated at having spent such an
unsatisfactory day…
Speaking of art…yesterday Zoe had a friend to play, and she organised an
art activity, involving a toy unicorn, posed fetchingly on the table to be
sketched.
Thanks Zoe (5) for unicorn |
Love it!!
