 Cyclone Pam is wreaking havoc in Vanuatu, the Solomons, Kiribati.

Just dreadful for all the people living there.

I read that many people are hiding in caves…Not so much fun if they are sea caves, with huge waves pounding in.

We celebrated my sister Moniques 60^th birthday today, at the beautiful River Edge Café in Longford.

Her son-in-law Mark was supposed to be back in Port Vila.  He was booked to fly out on Thursday but got an unexpected reprieve in the form of a three-month extension.

He is very worried about his family and friends and it is all very difficult – communications are non-existent at the moment.

Other than this underlying worry, it was a very bright and cheerful family/friends lunch.
