21st July - Turtle Islands

Monday 21st July

All is well in the Turtle Islands.  The internet is very intermittent so I am not going to attempt anything very ambitious.  We have seen a few large turtles swimming slowly past the boat, and tonight we hope to see many more, clambering ashore to lay their eggs.  Catherine has cooked delicious prawns for us (she is a Culinary Goddess, we are so lucky to have her on the boat;) John is reading, relaxing and trying to find a solution to the eternal battery/power problem, and Pete is installing new fans in the bedrooms, getting so hot it is as if he is in a sauna.

And I am struggling away putting co-ordinates into my Navionics charts.

There has been a bit of relaxating...

Our current co-ordinate is:

06 degrees 09.330N
118 degrees 03.445E

It is all very sheltered and pleasant, with a depth of 5.8m and the odd passing turtle...

  1. I well remember the desperate need to be under the tarp! Now, here in Tassie we are all trying to be in the sun!
