I received an email from Meriloy and Richard today.  I don’t think I can improve upon this for a happy travel story…

We are in Dalaman at the end of our time in Turkey.  Tomorrow we fly to Paris.

Everything is good.

I lost one of my needles from a sock I am knitting.  A very kind local woman gave me a replacement fashioned from the spoke of a bicycle.  It seems to be working OK.  She took me to her house to get it after I had asked where I might be able to buy one.  Knitters are such nice people.
