John Bignell hard at work |
Pete’s Nicole took some great party photos. She has a whole lot more but is keeping them,
in Launceston, as a bribe so that her father will go up to visit before we leave
on the 13th…
Several people have pointed out that our valiant band,
Bruce and Donna (aka the Silver Thorns) actually played from 2 till 8pm, not
6pm, as I said yesterday.
No wonder they
were exhausted with very sore fingers!
I have been waiting for a beautiful photo of our
stalwart ushers and barmen hard at work - Hamish, Angus, Leo, who did a
wonderful job. But so far…I only have photos
from our Gold Coast trip…
Hamish and Angus were reasonably familiar with what goes
into a wine glass or a beer tumbler… Leo
is only ten and when his mother asked f he could find her a glass of “champagne,”
he came up very hopefully with a glass filled to the brim with red wine. “I don’t think it is champagne, Mum,” he
said, and then added, with reasonable confidence, “But it is alcohol!”
Thank you Marguerite and Pete for putting on such a fantastic party. A very happy event with so many of your family and friends gathered to share food, wine, music and dance.
