Wednesday 1st February

Grey skies, choppy seas, cool weather – Coff’s Harbour!
This morning I had a few happy hours bleaching and jiffing the bathroom area and other nasty yucky stains on 2XS.  At about 11 there was a knock on the hull – Peter from next door on Plan Four, a beautiful catamaran from Devonport.  We invited him aboard and he proceeded to make himself extremely useful… It turns out he is a mechanic by trade and he had lots of advice and practical suggestions for Pete and for the wounded port side gearbox.
At about 2.00 Duncan came down to the waterfront in his car and took Pete and Pete away to spend a cheery hour or so in various boat-y places, looking for replacement parts for the Volvo Penta engine.  I stayed on 2XS and played gently with my computer, my ipad, and my iphone, with a nice big soothing cup of tea at hand.  Pete arrived back on board a bit before 5.00, at which time we hopped into the tender and went across to Plan Four for a few pre-dinner drinks with our new BFFs (Best Friends Forever) Leanne and Peter.  They have built their own beautiful boat and they have been cruising up and down the Australian coastline, very happily.
Tomorrow – who knows??  Leanne and I are quite keen on the idea of popping over to the Yacht Club for dinner but Pete says we might have other plans…maybe we will fly to Sydney for the night??  I am just going with the flow….
